SUCCESS

Salford University Consultancy Combining Exercise and Sports Sciences

What is it?

  • Ever wondered how physically fit you are?

  • Need to make improvements to your exercise training programme?

  • Want to maximise your athletic potential?

Physiological testing should form a key part any exercise training programme. Whether you are an elite athlete or merely a recreational exerciser, measuring and monitoring your performance is a key part of the process. How do you know that all the hard work you have been doing is really paying off?

The SUCCESS scheme offers you a unique opportunity to access a range of specialist testing services in the areas of sport, exercise and health.

Who can get involved?

SUCCESS is available for anyone who is interested in improving their physical conditioning and / or maximising their training, whether this be for sports performance, or everyday function.

We work with a range of professional sports people including Olympic athletes, Manchester City Football Club, Salford Reds Rugby League Club, Lancashire Cricket Club and Sale Sharks. A number of tri-athletes, cyclists, runners and boxers have also benefited from the SUCCESS programme.

Where does the testing take place?

All testing is conducted within the Human Performance Laboratory. This is located within the state-of-the-art Mary Seacole building on the Frederick Road Campus (http://www.salford.ac.uk/travel/).
